This is the best animal physiology textbook I have used, and I have used several. The figures are fantastic! There is a lot of information explained in an easy way to understand! I would highly recommend this book to anyone new or well acquainted with the field of animal physiology.
Arrived well packaged. Spine was scuffed and well used but books contents were fine. As described.
I bought it for my class, but didn't need it at all. It was pretty useless for me. Although it is a pretty well put-together book.
This is a comment for prospective buyers on Amazon's confusion between the first edition (2000) and the second (2004). Somehow links on the two pages, such as the link to buy a paperback copy of the 2nd edition, take you to buying pages for the first edition. As far as I can see there never was a pb edition of the second edition.
